BIANCHINI FERIER – SCARF DESIGN
This large and very decorative gouache scarf design was painted between 1940-1970 for the Lyon silk weaving house of Bianchini Ferier by their own (anonymous) in house designers and by some known artists. This work comes from their Archive Sale at Christies in 2001. It was a working object and although the condition has been stabilised, there is evidence of some wear and tear.
